Overview
Nepal is home to eight of the world's top ten highest mountains including
majestic Mount Everest. Mountaineers, climbers and keen adventurers brave
the often harsh conditions in search of the ultimate physical and mental
challenge, that of conquering this massive mountain of some 29,035 feet
(8850 metres)
Earth Sea Sky's Everest Base Camp adventure promises our clients an unforgettable
trekking experience. The renowned mountaineer Paul Adler, who reached
the summit of Mount Everest in 2007, will lead trekkers to the base of Everest and back. Paul's climbing skills, his personal knowledge of Mount Everest
and the strong relationships he has formed with the local Nepalese people
promise ESS clients a unique and exhilarating climbing adventure.
The ESSential Difference
Why should you choose ESS Everest Base Camp?
As well as the exceptional features that ESS incorporates into all its adventures,
each venture also has its own unique experiences and services. Browse a
couple of the exclusive highlights that distinguishes ESS Everest Base Camp
from all others.- Our close collaboration with adventure specialist and trek leader Paul
Alder provides a unique & highly personalised trekking experience. - Access
to comprehensive knowledge and training, first hand accounts of his successful
Everest summit expedition in 2007 & his incredible enthusiasm and love for
the industry ensure an experience not easily replicated. Highly astute Paul
is able to quickly recognize the warning signs associated with mental and/or
physical fatigue & takes an active involvement in the health of all his
participants - maximizes client safety & therefore successful completion
of the adventure - sustaining an impressive record of satisfied clients.
- We use local climbers and experienced Sherpas from the Nepalese community.
Paul has a very strong bond with the community and as with our other treks we
encourage support of the local people - helping to maintain respect for different
cultures & communities and bridging the gap between us all.
- We have been granted the right to sleep/ stay at Everest Base Camp - which encourages networking and involvement with other climbers and adventures and an insight into the personal challenge associated with preparing to summit. - Important because camping overnight at BC is an experience usually reserved for summiteers & research groups.
- Earth Sea Sky also includes a helicopter flight from Pheriche that provides
not only stunning aerial views but also increases the length of time spent at
Base Camp. This makes a more relaxing conclusion to the adventure and minimizes
homeward travel time.
