Osteopathy is a therapeutic manipulative practice which is now recognised within conventional allopathic medicine as well as complementary therapy. Osteopathy uses a dynamic approach to diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of muscle and/or joint problems, to augment the rate of recovery, improve joint position and mobility, and improve and sustain posture by training supporting muscles. Osteopath Dr Craig Taylor has consistently focused on progressive and effective treatment of musculo-skeletal complaints using a variety of techniques. A Victoria University graduate, Craig has most recently worked in the Geelong and Bellarine Region as an osteopath, for Deakin University as a lecturer and tutor in the anatomy field and locally as a mentor for younger osteopathic students As ESS's primary osteopath, Craig not only focuses on resolution of presenting injury, he believes in ensuring his patients reach a level of conditioning that exceeds the pre-injury state, as this helps to prevent recurrence of the injury. He aims to develop strength in the once injured area and achieves this through his holistic approach to injury resolution. Craig addresses the key underlying and contributing factors that lead to injury in order to better treat his patients. Craig is a diverse sportsperson with advanced experience in a variety of disciplines. Through his own sporting experiences and training, Craig is able to understand the complex needs of his patients whilst providing realistic and effective treatment goals. |
