Far Infra-Red Therapy

Infra-red heat is widely used in healing and relieving muscle, tissue and joint injuries. The intense heat deeply penetrates the muscles and tissues, helping to remove accumulated toxins and speed recovery. Far Infra-red sauna therapy is a relatively new treatment modality and ESS will be collaborating with research organisations to further explore the benefits of this type of therapy. Unlike infrared lamp saunas that use incandescent infrared heat lamps for heating, Far Infra-red saunas use ceramic or metallic elements for heating that mainly emit energy in the "far infrared" range. The therapy is based on the belief that "Far Infrared" wavelengths are the energy wave lengths that the body uses to heal tissue damage. Far infrared therapy increases micro-circulation and oxygenation to enhance the whole body function. The treatment is also applied to improve body detoxification by improving micro circulation, increasing delivery of oxygen and nutrients to muscles and organs, and removing accumulated toxins. Research has also shown a positive effect on wound healing The ESS HPC now offers 24 hour access to Far Infra-Red Sauna Therapy in combination with Hydrotherapy for elite athlete recovery. There are a range of specific programs available, suitable for individual or team use. We consult directly with fitness and medical staff to design a tailored program to individual or team needs. ESS provides all users with a specially designed hydration pack thus ensuring water lost during the Far Infra-red treatment is replaced with the appropriate fluids and electrolytes.
